Nordby Center for Recreation

The Nordby Center for Recreation has something for all individuals and families with physical activity in mind. The facility offers a full range of modern equipment and spaces designed to accommodate the wide variety of classes and programs that have been developed for the fitness of a community.

Parks & Trails

The Huron Parks & Recreation Department manages and maintains the city's park areas . Picnic shelters at Memorial, Ravine, and Riverside Parks are available for family reunions and other events. The island at Ravine Lake has a gazebo and is available for weddings and special occasions.

Ravine Lake Triathalon

The Ravine Lake Triathalon is an annual event perfect for both the casual athlete and the seasoned racer. If you are more experienced, the Sprint triathlon is a flat and fast course that will allow you to really see how fast you can go. Or, if you're just beginning, the EnTri course is perfect for you.

Safety City

Waterpark - Splash Central

From the Master Blaster Water Coaster to the Free Fall Drop Slide and Lazy River, Splash Central Waterpark is fun for all ages.

Football - Junior Program

Organized, funded, and staffed by volunteer parents, the Huron Junior Football Program was launched by Huron Junior Athletics to offer opportunities for youth in grades 3 to 6 to learn about football, sportsmanship, and teamwork. With strong support from the community, the program has become the backbone for initial training of Huron's future Junior Varsity and Varsity teams. Facebook

Parks & Recreation Activities / Sports

The Huron Parks & Recreation Department is proud to offer a wide range of activities and events for the whole family! Registration is easy and you can add the whole family to the account. A weekly schedule helps you keep track of activity times and locations. Activities include: Arts & Crafts, Bowling, Coach Pitch, Gymnastics, Ice Skating, Kickball (Adult Co-Ed), Pickleball, Soccer, Softball (Youth), Swim Lessons, T-Ball, Tennis (Youth & Adult), and Water Fitness Classes.
